Deirdre Jonese Austin, 24-years-old, is a healer, storyteller, and justice seeker. She aspires to live a life committed to a radical love ethic as she works towards healing and wholeness through good theology, research, direct action, and policy. Her calling is to explore the ways in which healing can be facilitated in and through the Black Baptist Church, and her organizing principle for this season of her life is to explore the role of dance in facilitating healing and wholeness for Black Christian women, specifically as it relates to bodies and sexuality. Join Jonese as she grows in knowledge and experience as it relates to the intersections of faith, race, gender and sexuality, and justice.
