Deirdre “Jonese” Austin, MDiv, 25-years-old, is a scholar, writer, minister, and womanist. She aspires to live a life committed to a radical love ethic as she works towards healing and wholeness through good theology, research, direct action, and public policy. Her calling is to explore the ways in which healing can be facilitated in and through the Black Baptist Church, and her current focus is promoting healing, wholeness, and liberation for Black Christian women around their bodies and sexuality. Join Jonese as she grows in knowledge and experience as it relates to the intersections of faith, race, gender and sexuality, and justice.
